Fill Your Pantry Market this Saturday

7 October 2011

Here is the Fill Your Pantry Pre-order List

On Saturday, November 12th 2011 the second annual Fill Your Pantry Market will be held at the former Methodist Church in Shedd, OR. You can purchase bulk quantities of staples directly from farmers: grains, flour, beans, frozen meats, honey, cured produce (garlic, onions, potatoes, root crops) and more. This event is sponsored by Willamette Seed & Grain and Ten Rivers Food Web and the Southern Willamette Valley Bean & Grain Project.

What sets this market apart from a farmers’ market is the fact it’s an annual event and you are encouraged to purchase the quantity you would need for a year. In fact, you must pre-order anything over 100 pounds – and you are encouraged to pre-order smaller amounts since supplies are limited. See list of farms and products at the end of this article.

The Market runs from 2 to 6 p.m. and Oregon Trail tokens will be accepted after 3 p.m. The Church is located at 30090 Hwy 99E Shedd, OR 97377 (approximately 5 miles south of Tangent in Linn County), at the intersection of Boston Mill/Fayetteville Roads and Hwy 99E.

“When Picks Fly” will provide live music; baked goods will be available for sale and non-alcoholic refreshments provided.

For those of you who did not attend last year’s event see these links for an overview:
